We keep cookies to a minimum. This Cookie Policy explains how TeenWurk, Inc. ("TeenWurk," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and app. Because many of our users are minors, we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
01What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to help it function and remember information about your visit. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers used inside our mobile app. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them). They can be set by us (first-party) or by a provider we use to run the Service (third-party).
02Cookies We Use
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Service, keep you signed in, keep the Service secure, and understand aggregate performance. The categories below describe what we set.

No Advertising Cookies
TeenWurk does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising — least of all for our users who are minors. 04Third-Party Providers
We rely on a small set of trusted service providers to operate the Service. Some may set their own cookies strictly to deliver their service to us. We do not permit any of them to use your information for their own advertising.
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database, hosting, and performance monitoring. Sets session and security cookies needed to keep you signed in.
- Stripe: secure payment processing where applicable. Stripe may set cookies to prevent fraud and secure transactions. Stripe does not receive advertising data from us.
- Mapbox: maps and location display for showing nearby jobs and estimating commute distance. May set cookies/local storage to render maps and cache tiles.
- Cloudflare: content delivery, DDoS protection, and website security. Sets strictly necessary security and performance cookies.
Each provider processes data under a contract that requires them to protect your information and use it only to provide services to TeenWurk.
05Your Choices & Controls
Because we only use strictly necessary, security, preference, and aggregate analytics cookies — and no advertising cookies — there is nothing to opt out of for ad targeting. You still have full control over cookies on your device:
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service.
- Mobile app: you can reset advertising identifiers and manage app permissions in your device's system settings.
- Clear local storage: clearing your browser's site data removes preference flags we store locally.
06Do Not Track
Because we do not track users across third-party websites or serve targeted advertising, our practices already reflect the intent of "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. We honor applicable opt-out preference signals where required by law.
07Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
